Ichijodani Asakura Clan Ruins

This is the ruins of a castle town where the Asakura clan, a feudal lord from the Sengoku period, ruled Echizen Province for 103 years for 5 generations in the 3rd year of Bunmei, about 530 years ago. The garden has also been designated as a "Special Place of Scenic Beauty'' by the country.

Eiheiji, the head temple of the Soto sect

Eiheiji is the head temple of the Soto sect of Buddhism, which was founded approximately 750 years ago in the second year of Kangen (1244) by Zenji Dogen.
